Music History (the very abridged version):
I come from a very musical family. Some of my most vivid childhood memories are of my dad and aunt's playing guitar and then me and my cousin's singing everything from John Denver to Willie Nelson to the Oak Ridge Boys. My dad taught me to play the guitar starting when I was 12. But it wasn't until I went to U of M that I actually played in front of people. I was always insecure about it. When I went on the REACH Team in 1993, much to my dismay, I was appointed to be the music leader for my team so I had to get over my timidity quick. It was the best thing that could have happened for me.

Since then I have always been doing some type of music at church. When I was at Northern State, I got the job of Mass Music Coordinator for the Newman Center on campus my senior year. That year I also started singing with a friend of mine. He is a talented songwriter and through this the band Angel Hill was formed. I was with Angel Hill for 2 years and gained a lot of experience on stage and in the recording studio. It was during this time that I wrote many of the songs that are on the album.

My last two years in South Dakota I lived in a little town called Mobridge. It was there that I was able to record my album with my wonderful friends at Depot Music Productions. I started recording this CD in 1999...so it has definately been a long time coming.

Guitars: I have a Seagull Accoustic/Electric and a Big Baby Taylor. I also have a Bluerig

Songwriting Influences: Jennifer Knapp, Jill Phillips, Sara Groves, The Indigo Girls, Chris Rice and Caedom's Call

Other Groups I Like: Relient K, Lori McKenna, 80's Music, Josh Groban, Brad Paisley, Jo Dee Messina, Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne, Lifehouse, Third Day, Matt Maher, Snow Patrol, The Fray, etc.

Favorite scripture: 1 Cor 2:9 "Eye has not seen, ear has not heard, and the human heart has never imagined what God has ready for those who love Him."
